Gold River is a neighborhood
that got it's start in the late 1970's when developers set out to create an exclusive
master planned community in the Sacramento suburbs where residents could enjoy beautiful
homes, attractively landscaped surroundings, a private health club, tree filled parks, and
a number of other amenities. All were to be within walking distance to a true to the
neighborhood decor shopping center, and state of the art business
complex . Years later the dream has become a reality as the last few acres of the
community are being developed.

Gold River today is made up of 25 single
family home villages, each named for famous gold mining patriarchs and places. The
community spans approximately 950 acres with nearly 3000 homes ranging in size from 1500
square feet to 5000 square feet. Each of the villages is governed by their own Homeowners
Association which is responsible for front yard landscaping (front home maintenance is
included in some villages) and enforcement of CC&Rs which helps to preserve the
beauty of the community and maintain property values.
The community boasts its own neighborhood
elementary school, the Gold River Discovery Center, educating over 600 children from
kindergarten through sixth grade. The school was recently honored as one of the
distinguished schools in California.
Gold River is also home to the Gold River
Racquet Club, a private tennis and health club where members enjoy activities such as
tennis, weightlifting, swimming, bridge, social gatherings and more. The club is also home
to a professional tennis team - the Sacramento Capitols.
The villages in the community
are linked by over 5 miles of nature trails that weave in and around many of the villages
and allow residents their own private entrance to the American River Parkway, an area
abundant in wildlife and activities,
and rich in history. |
